Having missed the whole of the tournament,following the inabilities of Broadcasting organisation of Nigeria(BON) to reach an agreement with the rights owners of the 2013 African Nations Cup,a deal has been reached to beam live the finals of the tournament on local stations.
BON today reached an agreement with the right owners to televise live the finals,which will feature the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Burkina Faso.
Nigerians who don’t have access to cable TV were denied the opportunity to watch the Super Eagles of Nigeria on terrestrial tv,because BON couldn’t pay the 4.5m Euros,the right owners were demanding.
It cannot be ascertained,if there was a Federal Government intervention to make sure that Nigerians didn’t miss out on seeing the Super Eagles, possibly lift the Nations Cup trophy in Johannesburg on Sunday.
